About Us
The former Bouctouche convent stands as an emblematic building, firmly rooted in the distinguished legacy of women’s educational institutions, whose cultural and societal influence has been of inestimable value.
Today, the mission of this heritage property is to bear witness to the monumental role played by religious educators, as well as by the generations of former students who were educated within its walls, while offering the public the opportunity to discover a jewel of Acadian architecture.
This place of memory and transmission also serves as a privileged space for interpretation, highlighting numerous aspects of Acadian and regional history and thereby contributing to a deeper understanding and appreciation of an exceptional collective heritage.
